Rising Stars 2015 - 2017

When I first meet my clients, they are going through some of the most challenging times in their personal lives: divorce, custody disputes, relocation of either themselves or their children, domestic violence, or support issues. During that first meeting in my office, I listen to the client tell me their story, then I work with them to find reasonable, resourceful and cost-effective solutions to their problems. Throughout my representation I strive to treat each client as I would want my best friend to be treated.

As I work with my clients to make a plan of action, I always keep in mind that it is important to maintain and protect family relationships. The best possible outcome in a family law dispute is where every party walks away with their heads held high and their dignity intact. I work hard to help my clients keep their expectations realistic, to stay grounded, and to move forward mindfully into the next phase of their lives.

Whether my clients' problems are resolved through negotiation, mediation, the collaborative practice, or in the courtroom, I partner with each of my clients to craft the strategy that will get them the outcome that they want.

I am a strong believer in continuing legal education and am a member of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland's Continuing Legal Education Committee. I am constantly sharpening my skills and updating my knowledge of family law by organizing and attending a variety of continuing legal education courses.

I received my juris doctor from the George Washington University Law School and two Bachelor of the Arts degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to entering private practice, I completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Sherrie L. Krauser in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland.

I am licensed to practice law in Maryland.
